About our pendants
Each gemstone pendant in our collection is handmade with love and attention.
During our purchasing trips we look at each stone one by one and carefully select the most beautiful, qualitative pieces with unique shapes. Only the most special stones travel home with us, to eventually be processed into a unique pendant.
Meaning of Opal
Pink Opal is a variety of opal known for its soft, pastel pink color. The stone is found in Peru, where it is found in veins and layers within the rock. Unlike precious opals, which are renowned for their vibrant iridescence, Pink Opal has a smooth, subdued sheen. This is sometimes interrupted by cream-colored markings.
Meaning

Care
Mónos was founded by Clara and Dion in 2021 when Dion was looking for such a pendant himself and couldn't find one anywhere. A free-form stone, beautiful quality, with a finish that didn't detract from the stone. So he decided to make it himself. Since 2023, we've been doing it together.
The name Mónos comes from the Greek mono, meaning one. Because of every stone, in this specific shape and color, there is only one.

In our collection you will find only real gemstones and crystals. We love unique pieces of high quality, gemstones that you do not just come across.
Sometimes they are special because of their rarity and sometimes because of the quality of the stone itself ❤️
What is 'Gold filled'?
Gold-filled is often confused with gold-plated, but they are actually two different things. Gold-plated refers to that thin layer of gold that quickly tarnishes; almost everyone has had a disappointing experience with it.
Gold-filled is something entirely different: a thick layer of 14-karat gold that is rolled onto a base metal, containing a minimum of 5% real gold.
It hardly tarnishes, can withstand daily wear for many years, and is nickel-free. It is a very durable and affordable alternative to 14-karat gold.
Is your jewelry really handmade?

All jewelry is handmade with much attention and love. This is what happens before a piece of jewelry appears on our website:
- The Discovery Tour: We scour fairs to select the most beautiful gemstones, one by one, based on quality and shape.
- Creation: We then use a diamond drill to precisely drill a hole in each stone, after which we attach an eyelet. This makes it possible to wear your jewelry the way you want - on a necklace or as an earring.
- Photography: And the best part? Every piece of jewelry is unique! We place an individual photo of every piece of jewelry on our website, so you can choose your perfect shape. There is only one copy of each stone, so you are guaranteed to have something unique in your hands ❤️
How can I know the size of a jewelry?
Two photos are available of each piece of jewelry. In the 2nd photo you will find my hand behind the jewelry so you can estimate the size. Please note: these are men's hands so perhaps slightly larger than the average female reader, haha :)
And if you really want to know exactly: my fingers are about 1.7 cm thick. I never thought I would ever measure this, but maybe it will be useful to you haha.

Can the eye of a piece of jewelry be changed?
