The refined eyelet on the stone makes it almost look like you're wearing just a loose stone on a chain.
We select our stones ourselves at gemstone fairs. Among thousands of stones, we choose the ones that stand out, by shape, by quality, by an unexpected detail. At home in our studio in Breda, we drill a small, subtle hole and hand-apply the eyelet. Nothing else is needed. The stone itself is the piece of jewelry.

This blue fluor apatite comes from Madagascar. We found these pieces rough on our buying trip in France. Then we tumbled and polished them smooth in our own tumbling machine at home. If you like to see the whole process of this you can take a look at our Instagram!
Apatite promotes a flexible mind and gives the strength to achieve goals. It is known as the mineral of success, increases self-confidence, concentration and mental clarity.
Specifically, blue apatite helps to promote calmness and inner peace. This stone supports the mind to balance and to reduce negative emotions such as aggression and stress. In addition, blue apatite is known as a stone of communication. It supports in expressing yourself and speaking in groups.
Blue apatite also works motivating and activating and can make you more open and social. It can therefore be a useful stone if you want to come out of your shell more.

Mónos is van Clara en Dion, en het ontstond in 2021 toen Dion zelf zo'n hanger zocht en nergens kon vinden. Een steen in vrije vorm, mooi van kwaliteit, met een afwerking die de steen niet in de weg zat. Dus ging hij het zelf maken. Sinds 2023 doen we het samen.
De naam Mónos komt van het Griekse mono, één. Want van elke steen, in deze specifieke vorm en kleur, is er maar één.

Zijn het echte edelstenen?

Our collection exclusively features genuine gemstones and crystals. We prioritise unique, high-quality gemstones that are not commonly found.
Wat is 'Gold filled'?
Gold filled wordt vaak verward met gold plated, maar dat zijn echt twee verschillende dingen. Gold plated is dat dunne laagje goud dat snel verkleurt, daar heeft bijna iedereen wel een teleurstellende ervaring mee.
Gold filled is iets heel anders: een dikke laag 14 karaat goud die op het basismateriaal wordt gewalst, met minimaal 5% echt goud.
Het verkleurt nauwelijks, kan tegen dagelijks dragen jaren lang mee, en is nikkelvrij. Het is een heel duurzaam en betaalbaar alternatief voor 14 karaat goud.

All jewelry is handmade with great care and love. This is what happens before a piece of jewelry appears on our website:
- The Discovery Journey: We scour trade shows to select the most beautiful gemstones, one by one, based on quality and shape.
- Creation: Next, we precisely drill a hole in each stone with a diamond drill, and then attach an eyelet. This makes it possible for you to wear your jewelry however you like - on a necklace or as an earring.
- Photography: And the best part? Every piece of jewelry is unique! We place an individual photo of each piece on our website, so you can choose your perfect shape yourself. There is only one of each stone, so you are guaranteed to have something unique in your hands ❤️
Hoe kan ik de afmeting van een sieraden weten?
Van elk sieraad zijn twee foto's beschikbaar. Op de 2e foto vind je mijn hand achter het sieraad zodat je de grootte kunt inschatten. Let op: het zijn wel mannen handen dus misschien iets groter dan de gemiddelde vrouwelijke lezer, haha :)
En als je het echt precies wilt weten: mijn vingers zijn zo'n 1,7 cm dik. Nooit gedacht dat ik dit ooit op zou meten, maar misschien heb je er nog wat aan haha.
