Dragon stone is not a single mineral but a natural rock composed of two closely related minerals: deep green epidote, interwoven with veins and specks of red-brown piemontite. Our dragon stone comes from Limpopo in South Africa, where the stone was first found near hot springs at the foot of a dragon-shaped hill, hence the name. The bright red appears to flow through the green like 'dragon's blood,' while the green rock forms an earthy, solid base.
