Pink Zoisite

Pink zoisite is a rare variety of the mineral zoisite, related to tanzanite and thulite. These specimens from the Afghan region of Badakhshan have a natural, light pink color and are often semi-transparent with a glassy sheen. Unlike the more common green or blue forms of zoisite, the pink variety is much less common. The rock usually forms in prismatic or rough chunks, with its color derived from trace elements such as manganese. Pink zoisite works on the heart chakra and is associated with emotional healing, gentle strength, and inner balance.
