About Ludlamite

Ludlamite is a rare iron phosphate mineral with a bright apple to grass-green color and a gentle vitreous luster. The mineral forms deep within the earth when older phosphate minerals are slowly transformed into something new. Ludlamite is named after the English mineral collector Henry Ludlam and was first described in 1877. This ludlamite comes from Wheal Jane near Truro in Cornwall, England. This is the historic tin mine where the mineral was first found, and thus where the story of ludlamite began.

Meaning of Ludlamite

Renewal, Recovery & Inner Peace

Ludlamite is a stone of gentle, renewing energy. The stone itself forms from the transformation of older minerals and therefore symbolizes transformation: letting go of what is old and making room for something new. A stone for times when your life is changing and you want to start over.

The stone supports recovery and resilience. It helps you to pick up the thread again after a difficult or tiring period, and to resume plans or dreams you had set aside. Ludlamite gently restores your confidence as your energy slowly returns.

Due to its fresh green color, ludlamite is connected to the heart. It brings peace, gentleness, and compassion, for yourself and for others, and helps you release tension and unrest. A stone that invites you to live with an open and calm heart.

Thus, ludlamite combines renewal with inner peace. A stone for those who want to grow, recover, and start a new chapter with fresh courage and a gentle heart.

Please note: This gemstone does not include a meaning card as we only have one of them.

How does it work?

Some gemstones are so special that we only have one (or very few) of them. Especially with these unique pieces, we leave the eyelet off for now.

The stone has already been drilled, but you choose whether you want a silver or gold finish.

After your order, we will make the pendant especially for you. Please allow for a processing time of approximately 5 business days.

Finishing options

You can choose from the following finishes:

  • Gold filled 14kt
This material consists of 5% genuine 14-karat gold. The gold layer is much thicker than with gold-plated plating and, with proper care, retains its beautiful gold color for years.
  • 925 Sterling silver
Real silver is also an option, of course! The eyelet can become a bit dull over time, but with a silver polishing cloth, you can easily make it shine again.
  • 14 carat gold
This precious metal remains beautiful for a lifetime. For a 14-karat gold eyelet, we charge an additional €25.
