Euklaas is a rare gemstone mainly found in the colors green, blue-green and yellow-green. It is a calcium-copper-silicate mineral and has a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6.5, making it a fairly soft gemstone. Where do these Euklaas gemstones come from?
The site of Euklaas stones is located in Zimbabwe, a country in southern Africa. The Euklaas stones are found in the Mwami Mine in the Bikita District of Zimbabwe, which is known for its rich diversity of minerals. The Mwami Mine is one of the few locations in the world where high quality Euklaas is found. The stones have an intense blue color and are considered very rare and valuable. Mining Euklaas in this region requires skill and experience, and is carried out by local artisans who have passed down the art of gem mining through the generations.
